Zihuatanejo International Airport Renews Environmental Quality Certificate from PROFEPA

Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, October 2, 2025 – Zihuatanejo International Airport officially received the renewal of its Environmental Quality Certificate from the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PRFOEPA) in a ceremony held on September 15. This recognition reaffirms the airport’s commitment to environmental protection and the continuous improvement of its operational practices.

The certificate confirms the implementation of responsible and sustainable actions, ensuring that all airport activities are carried out under the highest environmental standards. With this renewal, Zihuatanejo Airport consolidates its role as a terminal that promotes sustainability, respect for the natural environment, and community well-being.

Airport authorities expressed their gratitude to PROFEPA for its recognition, as well as to all collaborators whose dedication makes it possible to maintain this certification, reaffirming their commitment to environmental preservation.
