Zihuatanejo Airport donates equipment to Azueta civil protection and fire department.
Zihuatanejo, Guerrero. May 19, 2025 – As part of its commitment to the safety and well-being of the community, Zihuatanejo Airport has donated breathing equipment to the Civil Protection and Fire Department of the municipality of Zihuatanejo de Azueta.
The official handover of the equipment took place this past May 9th, with the attendance of the Municipal President , the Director of Civil Protection, and representatives of the Fire Department.
The donation included:
7 complete self-contained breathing apparatus units, each consisting of a face mask, harness, and air cylinder.
7 spare cylinders, essential to ensure uninterrupted operation during emergency responses.
5 additional face masks which enhance the department´s capacity to respond to multiple or simultaneous eventualities.
This contribution represents significant support for the Civil Protection and Fire Department personnel, who regularly face high-risk situations, such as fires and rescues, where this type of equipment is critical to ensuring their safety.
Through this donation, Zihuatanejo Airport and OMA Group reaffirm their commitment to the protection and well-being of the Azueta community in Zihuatanejo.
