Viva Connects Tampico and Villahermosa with New Route

  • The Tampico–Villahermosa–Tampico route began operations with two weekly frequencies.

  • The new connection will strengthen connectivity between northern and southern Mexico and boost tourism between both cities.

Tampico, Tamaulipas, December 2, 2025 – Viva celebrated the launch of its new route connecting the cities of Tampico and Villahermosa, an operation aimed at strengthening connectivity between northern and southern Mexico, as well as promoting tourism, commerce, and new travel opportunities for residents of both regions. 

The Tampico–Villahermosa–Tampico route initially operates with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Starting on March 27, 2026, operations will shift to Mondays and Fridays, maintaining schedules that allow for same-day round trips. Flights are operated with Mexico’s youngest fleet, consisting of 104 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
