OMA launches key air link between San Luis Potosí and Atlanta

  • This new route will provide travelers with access to a wide range of international destinations via Atlanta, positioning San Luis Potosí as a key city in Mexico’s air connectivity network.

San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., June 5, 2025 — Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA) today celebrated the launch of direct flight operations to Atlanta, operated by Aeroméxico as part of its strategic alliance with Delta Air Lines.

The inaugural event was attended by officials from the Government of the State of San Luis Potosí and the Municipality, along with senior executives from OMA and Aeroméxico.

This new air connection will operate daily between San Luis Potosí International Airport (SLP) and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL)—the world’s busiest airport by passenger traffic and a major international hub in the United States—offering passengers seamless access to a vast network of destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The new service responds to the growing demand for air connectivity in San Luis Potosí, a city that has emerged as a prominent industrial and commercial hub in Mexico. Direct access to Atlanta will enable travelers to connect to an extensive network of global destinations, further strengthening commercial and cultural ties with various regions in the United States and beyond.

San Luis Potosí International Airport currently offers direct flights to key domestic and international destinations. Its international portfolio includes routes to Houston and Dallas, with today’s addition of Atlanta. Starting July 2025, new services to San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston will also be added. On the domestic front, the airport connects with cities such as Mexico City, Monterrey, Tijuana, Cancún, Puerto Vallarta, and AIFA.

With these initiatives, OMA reaffirms its commitment to driving the economic, tourism, and business development of San Luis Potosí by connecting its users to global markets defined by dynamic growth and strategic connectivity.
