Durango, Durango, November 3, 2025 – Volaris, the Mexican ultra-low-cost airline operating in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, today celebrated the launch of its new Durango–Guadalajara route, with three weekly frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

With this launch, Volaris reaffirms its commitment to strengthening air connectivity in Durango, offering travelers more practical, affordable, and efficient travel options. This new route will boost tourism, facilitate business travel, and contribute to the state’s economic development.

“Durango has enormous tourism and productive potential, and at Volaris we aim to be a strategic partner in its growth. Each new route represents an opportunity for more people to travel, explore, and create new opportunities through enhanced air connectivity,” said Jorge Roberto García Rojas, Director of Distribution, Market Development, and Cargo at Volaris.

Guadalajara is Volaris’ main operating hub and one of the most important connection centers within its network. From this city, the airline operates 48 routes and averages 85 daily operations, including takeoffs and landings.

In line with its capacity optimization and network expansion strategy, Volaris expects to reach 100 daily operations from Guadalajara for the first time before the end of 2025, driven by the addition of new domestic and international routes, including the recent connection to Durango. This growth reflects Volaris’ commitment to a profitable, efficient, and sustainable growth model aimed at meeting the increasing mobility demand in western Mexico.

“Our commitment is to continue expanding our route network to bring people closer to their families, their projects, and new experiences. This connection between Durango and Guadalajara is another step toward strengthening air mobility in the country and maintaining our position as the fastest-growing airline in Mexico,” García Rojas added.

Since beginning operations in Durango in 2015, Volaris has transported more than 1.6 million passengers to and from the cities of Tijuana and Chicago (Midway). With the addition of Guadalajara, the airline expands its options for passengers seeking direct connectivity, safety, and affordable fares.

Durango is consolidating its position as one of the emerging hubs of economic development in northern Mexico, driven by the arrival of new projects and strategic investments that strengthen its regional competitiveness. In this context, the expansion of air routes such as Volaris’ plays a key role in boosting connectivity and reinforcing the infrastructure that supports the state’s growth, facilitating access for more visitors, investors, and opportunities for its people.

With this new connection, Volaris reaffirms its commitment to regional development and the country’s economic integration, actively contributing to Durango’s projection as an attractive destination for business, tourism, and investment.
