OMA Celebrates New Querétaro-Acapulco Route, Boosting Regional Connectivity and Tourism

Acapulco, Guerrero.- December 5, 2025 – Acapulco International Airport, part of the OMA network in Mexico, proudly welcomed the inaugural direct flight from Querétaro yesterday, December 4, 2025 operated by TAR México. This new route will offer two weekly frequencies, on Thursdays and Sundays, significantly enhancing air connectivity between the States of Querétaro and Guerrero.

This air service represents a key step in strengthening Acapulco's position as a top tourist destination and highlights OMA’s commitment to regional development.

The arrival of the first flight was celebrated with a reception attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the Guerrero State Government, such as the Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion, Emilio Vázquez. Also present were tourism authorities from Querétaro, municipal officials from Acapulco, executives from TAR México, and staff from Acapulco International Airport. Attendees highlighted the route's importance in boosting tourism, stimulating the regional economy, and facilitating cultural exchange between the destinations.
