Monterrey, Nuevo León – September 19, 2025 – Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA) is celebrating a historic milestone: its 25th anniversary. Since its founding in November 1998, OMA has transformed air connectivity across northern and central Mexico, growing from a regional operator into one of the country’s leading airport groups, managing 13 key airports.

This quarter century has been defined by strong growth and an unwavering commitment to the economic and social development of the regions where it operates.

25 Years in Numbers: Connecting Mexico and the World

  • More than 375 million passengers have traveled through OMA airports since 2000.

  • 199 domestic and international routes served by 23 airlines.

  • In 2024, OMA welcomed 26.5 million passengers – 22.7 million domestic and 3.8 million international.

  • Monterrey International Airport consolidated its position as Mexico’s fourth busiest airport, with Phase 1 of Terminal A’s expansion completed in 2024.
