Monterrey International Airport boosts international connectivity with new direct Monterrey-Paris Flight

Paris, France, January 26, 2026 – The Nuevo León Ministry of Tourism held a destination presentation today in Paris before media representatives and tourism industry stakeholders, with the aim of showcasing the state’s tourism offer and strengthening its presence in the European market.
The event—organized in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Embassy of Mexico in France—featured the participation of Aeroméxico, as well as representatives from OMA and VINCI Airports, within the framework of the announcement of the new Monterrey–Paris direct route. This new connection will significantly improve Nuevo León’s air connectivity with Europe via Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The new nonstop service will operate three times per week (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday from Monterrey; Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from Paris) using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The seasonal route will run from April 13 through October 23, 2026.
In her welcome remarks, Blanca Jiménez Cisneros, Mexico’s Ambassador to France, stated that “Mexico is a global tourism powerhouse and aims to become the fifth most visited country in the world,” and therefore welcomes “the momentum generated by the launch of this new route, which will create new opportunities and strengthen ties between Mexico and France.”
During the event, Maricarmen Martínez Villarreal, Nuevo León’s Secretary of Tourism, emphasized the importance of air connectivity for tourism development and for the state’s international visibility. In this context, she noted that “air connectivity is a key component of tourism development, as it facilitates the exchange between destinations and strengthens Nuevo León’s international projection.”
She added that Nuevo León offers a diverse tourism portfolio, supported by infrastructure and services capable of serving multiple segments—from leisure travel to business tourism—under a vision of sustainable and competitive growth aligned with international tourism trends.
Emmanuel Oswald, Regional Sales Manager in France for Aeroméxico, added: “At Aeroméxico, we are very proud to introduce this seasonal route between Monterrey, Nuevo León and Paris— a connection that brings two key cities closer and significantly strengthens connectivity between northern Mexico and Europe. For the airline, this new operation represents a strategic step in our international expansion and our commitment to offering more travel options, boosting tourism, cultural and business exchange, and responding to growing traveler demand with warm, punctual service aboard the most modern fleet in Mexico.”
This strategic connection strengthens the essential role of Monterrey International Airport as the leading air hub in northern Mexico. It not only expands international connectivity options, but also positions Nuevo León as a strategic gateway for tourism, business, and investment between both continents.
