OMA Airports strengthens its environmental commitment after receiving Airport Carbon Accreditation at all its airports.

Monterrey, Nuevo León, March 21, 2023.- Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA), received the certification at level 1 of Airport Carbon Accreditation Program in the 13 airports of the group, this certification is issued by the Airports Council International- Latin America and Caribbean (ACI-LAC).

It is worth mentioning that recently OMA formed an alliance with Vinci, reinforcing the environment commitment of its airports by the Air Pact strategy.

Airport Carbon Accreditation is the only standard of the airport industry that manages carbon emissions with the purpose of progressively reduce it, neutralize it and reach zero emission goal.

OMA's actions and projects in their 13 airports are linked to investments in sustainability stock markets, all with the goal of achieving the organization's progressive decarbonization. Some of them are: generation of photovoltaic solar energy, LED type lighting in Terminal Buildings, runways and circulation areas, monitoring with automation to optimize energy consumption of A/C and lighting equipment.
