Avianca launches first direct flight between Monterrey and Bogotá, connecting passengers to over 80 international destinations
The direct route between Monterrey and Bogotá will begin operations on October 26, with four weekly frequencies.
Flights will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity for 180 passengers, offering over 1,400 weekly seats between both cities.
Tickets are now available for purchase via Avianca.com, the Avianca mobile app, and through authorized travel agencies.
Monterrey, August 5, 2025 – Avianca announced the start of ticket sales for its first-ever direct route between Bogotá, Colombia, and Monterrey, Mexico. Starting October 26, travelers will be able to fly between the two cities with four weekly flights.
“We’re proud to welcome Monterrey as a new destination in our route map, offering a direct connection to Bogotá and over 1,400 weekly seats between both cities,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca. “In just the first half of 2025, we transported more than 579,000 passengers between Mexico and other international markets. This new route reinforces our commitment to expanding connectivity and offering our customers more travel options.

With this new route, Avianca will operate nine international routes in Mexico, providing 88 weekly flights, and will further enhance its presence in the country.
