Monterrey gets closer to Canada starting direct flights to Toronto by Air Canada.

  • It’s the first direct route from Monterrey to one of the most important destinations in Canada.
  • From Toronto, passengers can connect to more than 50 destinations that Air Canada offers.
  • The route will operate with 4 weekly frequencies.

Monterrey, Mexico – October 30, 2023 - Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA), part of the VINCI Aiports network, along with the Ministry of Tourism and Air Canada, is pleased to announce the beginning of a new route from Monterrey to Toronto. This was officially inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held today at the facilities of General Mariano Escobedo Airport.

This direct route will be operated by Airbus A220 aircraft with options for business and economy class, enhancing connectivity between both destinations and providing travelers with a seamless experience. It also opens up travel opportunities to over 50 destinations served by Air Canada from Toronto.

Luis Noriega Benet, Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, commented: "We are very excited that our customers can enjoy comfort through the new Airbus A220. This new route will strengthen our presence in such an important hub as Monterrey".
