Air Canada inaugurates operations at Monterrey Airport, connecting Nuevo León with Toronto!

Monterrey, N.L., May 25, 2023 - Air Canada, together with the Secretary of Tourism of Nuevo León and OMA, is pleased to announce the start of its operations at Monterrey Airport, becoming the only Canadian airline offering direct flights between both destinations. Starting on October 29, 2023, travelers will be able to enjoy a regular route connecting Monterrey with Toronto, one of Canada's major economic and cultural centers.

This new connection represents a significant milestone for Air Canada, Monterrey Airport, and Nuevo León, as it not only establishes a direct route between Monterrey and Toronto but also strengthens the commercial and tourist ties between Mexico and Canada. The city of Monterrey, recognized as the second largest metropolis in Mexico, is a growing business center that houses key corporate headquarters and commercial interests.

Flights between Monterrey and Toronto will be operated with modern Airbus A220 aircraft, offering passengers a comfortable and safe flying experience. Air Canada prides itself on providing high-quality service, personalized attention, and a wide range of options to meet travelers' needs.

Additionally, Air Canada announces growth in the Latin America region with routes from Los Cabos, B.C.S. to Montreal, as well as the opening of La Romana in the Dominican Republic and Fort-de-France, Martinique.
